Here we come another exciting development of “Climateers Ambassador Experiential Programme”! It is our great pleasure to have Ivana Wong to be our Low Carbon Leader! She joined 30 JPC and HKFYG Programme participants to attend the Hoi Ha Wan Field Trip on 12 December, the “Global Action Day”. The glass bottomed boat trip brought her and the youth to witness how climate change affects coral communities in the territory.
Ivana’s designated Low Carbon Leader webpage was officially launched that day, in which her carbon footprint was also being revealed. Ivana shared her future plan in reducing her carbon emission with the youth, which includes switching conventional bulbs into energy saving bulbs; replacing appliances with ones having Class 1 Energy Efficiency Label, taking shorter shower and switching off her computer screen when idling and many more.
“As WWF’s Low Carbon Leader, I cordially invite all of you to join Climateers Ambassador Experiential Programme to practice low carbon living and combat climate change together!” The call of Low Carbon Leader is waiting for you to answer; we sincerely hope to see you all in the Public Phase!

The lively launching ceremony of Climateers Ambassador Experiential Programme has been successfully held on 8 November 2009, along the seaside of Tsim Sha Tsui. WWF-Hong Kong chose this particular day - with only one month to the UN Climate Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen to launch the Programme. We gathered around 200 youths who have joined our Phase 1 Programme to "demonstrate" the threat of sea level rise caused by climate change, hoping to raise the public awareness towards the climate change crisis!
The ceremony has made a perfect kick off and we look forward to walk through all the Experiential Items with the youth to equip them to combat climate change together!
